Long Serving Staff Celebrate at Ilkley Office

Eatons Solicitors celebrating three long-standing members of the team who have contributed a combined service of 94 years.

Offering legal expertise to commercial and private clients, we opened our Ilkley office on Church Street in September 2018 and is now commemorating the achievements of senior staff.

Graeme Brown, the managing partner at the firm with offices across West Yorkshire, is celebrating 35 years of service, 28 of which have been as managing partner.

He said: “It’s a huge privilege to have been part of Eatons for more than three decades. I’ve seen the company grow to having more than 60 legal experts working across five offices in Bradford and Leeds.

“So much has changed since I began my legal career and many of the commercial issues we manage today such as intellectual property around information technology and websites didn’t exist when I started here in 1984. I’m immensely proud of how far this family-founded business has evolved over the years and our culture and values of being an approachable and friendly legal team are absolutely key to the service we offer here in the very heart of Ilkley.”

Eatons Solicitors was established in 1887 with an office in Bradford. Today we operate from additional offices in Ilkley, leeds, Leeds and Bingley specialising in services from family and matrimonial law to commercial property and employment matters.

Liz Williams, the firm partner and Head of Family and Matrimonial Department, is celebrating 34 years at Eatons. She says: “I’ve lived in Ilkley since 1992 and I know the value of being a real part of this exceptional community, which is why, as part of our opening our new base here on Church Street, we’re looking for ways of really integrating with local life by supporting the schools, charities and initiatives that make Ilkley such a unique place to live.”

“Our welcoming environment is absolutely key to our Ilkley offering and our flexibility is, we feel, the reason we’ve seen such a huge rise in people taking our free 30 minute consultations which are arranged at a time to suit them.”

Finance manager Margaret Knowles has also been praised for her 25 years’ service within the company.

Graeme added: “Many of our support staff have been with the company for over 20 years and it’s fantastic to host a wealth of experience in our Ilkley office.”
