About This Role

1. Main Purpose

To assist, under supervision, in providing a professional service to clients on all aspects of the buying and selling process in line with Eatons policies and procedures.

2. Key Responsibilities

i. Assisting fee earners in the smooth running of cases by drafting relevant documents throughout the process

ii. Carrying out searches and reporting to the fee earner.

iii. Communicating with estate agents, other solicitors and third parties.

iv. Compliance with office policies and procedures and the use of standard systems and templates.

v. Compliance with all lender policies and requirements with regards mortgages.

vi. Accurate preparation of completions statements, invoices in accordance with accounting procedures.

vii. Assisting in keeping the client updated throughout the process.

3. Personal Specification

i. Qualifications

Not essential but ideally working towards CILEX or CLC

ii. Skills

Good all round IT skills – Microsoft office – word, excel etc.

Working knowledge of case management systems, diaries and tasks.

Excellent communication skills

iii. Experience

Conveyancing 1+ years preferred 

iv. Personal Qualities

Self-motivated, enthusiastic and committed

Self-confident, reliable and conscientious with good attention to detail.

Smart and professional dress and demeanour.
